Unity in Diversity: Bridging Differences Among Nations

Vladivostok, Russia, 30 October - 6 November 2012

After running through Asia for the youth forum in these past ten years, now we are going back to Vladivostok, Russia again!!! In the session with AYF, many youths from different Asian countries have good opportunities to receive valuable lectures and seminars regarding languages, social and culture issuesbased on the theme of each AYF.

This year, from October 30 to November 6, 2012, we welcome our AYF10. In our 10^th anniversary for AYF, we will visit Vladivostok, Russia again since our first visit in 2004. In AYF 10, we’ll focus on the theme “Unity in Diversity: Bridging Differences among Nations” together. As until today, uncountable wars, conflicts, and tragedies took place, and it is not only people but also cultures that had been risked during such severe centuries. In our lectures and seminars, we will discuss how people can realize world peace by getting over differences in traditions, races, and religions. Through these studies in the classes and the interaction with youths from different Asian countries, you’ll following learn the diversity of thoughts and perspective due to the cultural differences, and unite the harmonious condition for each individual culture and person.

Besides knowledge exchanges, AYF also arranges cultural activities and local excursion to let students experience culture by themselves. This is not only for entertainment, but most importantly to observe local living, regional history and customs in the whole trip.

So stand up, leave your study table, computer and whatever occupy you. Come join us and take a break from your school and country, and shout out that “This is youths living today!” Believe that you are the one who can change, create, and imagine the new world in the 21 century!

We welcome Asian youth who have passions, who pay attentions to the world, and who have intentions to strengthen bonds with Asian countries to join our AYF 10 in Vladivostok, Russia!

AYF 10 Application Form

Dear applicants, to operate your application completely, please follow the instruction hereby:

1. Fill out the 10th Asian Youth Forum application form below (It must be completed online with the form provided in this page!) on or before March 29, 2012.
2. Send your Curriculum Vitae (CV) and picture (.jpg/.jpeg file) as email attachment to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it right after you fill out the application form, with the following subject and file names as below:
   For CV: AYF10_CV_COUNTRY_LASTNAME,
   For Picture: AYF10_PICT_COUNTRY_LASTNAME.
3. Send/give your advisor (could be a professor, employer or someone from your faculty) the letter of recommendation form (please download the form here), and ask them to kindly fill it out telling us why we should accept you as an AYF applicant, and send it back (from their own email) to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 4. You must fill out your current Passport information clearly in the form below, this is necessary to apply.
5. For alumni who have attended the AYF summit before, you do not need to fill this application online. You only need to fill out a Letter of Intent which you can download here.
