The Arab Foundation for Development and Citizenship in cooperation with Center for Humanities Studies and Researches (MADA) organized a training workshop in Casablanca under the title "Responsible Citizen: Towards a Responsible Arab Citizen", which was attended by 26 young people.

This workshop comes as part of the Foundation's project to spread the culture of responsible citizenship, which is based on the balance between the rights and responsibilities. The workshop aims to engage the youth in responsible and effective citizenship.

The training included workshops on human values, civil and political rights in addition to economic and social rights. It also tackled various topics including young people’s role in reinforcing responsible citizenship.

The participants prepared ideas for projects that youth can work on in their local environment to support the concept of responsible citizenship and to employ the principles and values they learnt during the training.

Trainers at the workshop included Mr. Mohammad Ennosse President of the United Association to train Children and Youth and Mr. Obaida Fares the director of the Arab Foundation for Development and Citizenship.

This project is implemented by the support of MEPI "Middle East Partnership Initiative" and UNDP’s ICTDAR project.
