Funding Programmme
The Heinrich Böll Foundation supports people and projects around the world who are working for meaningful participation, solidarity and peaceful change towards equality and justice in social and international relations. In the Middle East, work is centered around four major axis of inquiry and intervention: Statehood and Participation, Power and Identity, War and Peace and Sustainable Development. Under these headlines, and in cooperation with our local and regional partners longterm projects which aim at achieving an impact through intervention over a sustained period of time are supported. The Middle East Office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation supports a number of projects related to the main programme areas Statehood and Participation, Power and Identity, War and Peace, Sustainable Development that aim to achieve an impact through intervention over a sustained period of time. Such projects may include lobbying campaigns, research programmes, financial support for periodicals, training cycles and the build-up and maintenance of social, cultural and civil society networks. Typically, such long-term projects will be implemented by a partner with an established institutional structure and a track record in the field.
