Step Up Youth Initiative

Step Up is a new youth initiative based in Alexandria, Egypt, launched at March 16, 2010

The founding members are a group of young civil activists that have experiences in organizing and designing indirect youth to youth education projects.

Vision:

Step up is a group of youth aims at developing the Egyptian community through enhancing the capabilities of youth.

We believe in the role of youth social participation as a fundamental way of achieving a sustainable circle of development that serves the whole community.

Ultimate team work, knowledge, creativity, proficiency, transparency and hard work are not only goals that we want to reach in the community but also the standards of our way of life.

Mission:

Implementing youth to youth projects, through creative use of available resources, on both the local and international levels.

Engaging youth to the Egyptian civil community through our activities, on the basis of volunteerism and development

Goals:

Our vision can be practically fulfilled through:

1- Effective local and international networking.

2- Informal youth to youth education through workshops, simulations, forums and conferences.

3- Cultural and artistic activities.

4- Social entrepreneurship oriented activities.

5- Youth entertainment activities.

6- Updating youth with information regarding scholarships, youth exchange programs and trainings.

Important Notes:

Our initiative does not adopt or follow any political or religious trend in its meetings or activities

Our initiative is not profitable and does not have a separate bank account or official registration number (registration is available only for NGOs and not Initiatives in the Egyptian Law)

Our initiative works as an executive partner under the umbrella of any registered legal institution that is interested sponsoring the idea of the project

The age of the members varied from 16 to 25 years old, males and females

The officially spoken languages in the initiative is Arabic and English, we also have German language speaking members.
