I am Lebanese and was born in 13 August 1985 in Machghara, Lebanon. I had my baccalaureate 2 from high school in general sciences in 2003.I have graduated in 2007 with a BA degree in Business Administration and Economics with concentration in Banking and Finance from Notre Dame University in Lebanon and an equivalent minor in Psychology.
Currently I am doing my masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy in the same university. Concerning my professional experience, I worked after I have graduated as financial analyst for 2 years and I was at the same time a volunteer in 2 Lebanese NGOs’ Adyan and FDCD (Forum for development, culture and dialogue) where I have participated in different youth exchange workshops entitled: “Peace Building in a Violent Context” between Arab Countries, “Religions and Civil Peace” between Arab Countries and I was assistant in a youth exchange workshop entitled “Conflict Resolution and Inter Sectarian Violence in Post War Societies” between Lebanon & Iraq. After the 2 years experience in civil society as volunteer after my graduation, I decided to shift my career path from the Business sector to an activist in civil society. I joined Adyan in January 2010 as executive director for “Understanding Program” (described above) where I had the chance as youth to have the leading role in coordinating with the partners of the program internationally and in being the gathering coordinator for 25 learners and facilitators from different universities in the Euromed region as well as being the administrative coordinator of an international conference that joined 50 scholars from 25 different countries around cross-cultural education. During my experience at Adyan I was selected as youth leader to participate in many interesting seminars and workshop, I will mention few of it:
- The summer school of Konrad-Adenauer Foundation “Tolerance and Integration – challenges for young leaders“ Political Communication: Possibilities and Limits-July 2011,Berlin
- The long term training seminar co-organized by the Council of Europe and League of Arab States in the topics of human right, youth participation, intercultural dialogue and youth policies – December 2010, Strasbourg
- A training entitled “Training Essentials: from idea to project” organized by Salto-Youth Euromed Resource center – October 2010, Turkey
- Reporter in Anna Lindh Forum – Barcelone, March 2010
- A networking seminar toward dialogue organized by the Catalan Youth Council and Anna Lindh Foundation – Spain, February 2010
- Participant in the preparatory seminar of the Anna Lindh Foundation Forum entitled "Euromed youth policies in intercultural dialogue" co-organized with the Council of Europe – January 2010, Strasbourg.
I am currently a member of the youth committee of the Forum for Development, Culture and Dialogue (Lebanese NGO) as vice youth committee coordinator where we do a variety of cultural and development projects. And I am also a member of the volunteer coordination team at Adyan Foundation where we put the strategy and plan for Adyan volunteer network on the educational, cultural and social level.
